Aviation drawings - Part 2

Illustrations entirely handmade. Promarker (alcohol marker) & color pencils.

High quality paper. Initially made on A3 format.

The markers are non-erasable and the slightest mistake will ruin your drawing. In a certain sense, alcohol markers resemble watercolor, it is a succession of transparent layers. It is possible to darken a light color but impossible to lighten a dark color. This kind of illustration requires a lot of patience, and the fidelity of the reproduction rests on the mastery of colors and gradients. Count between 10 and 15 hours of work per drawing.

Some of you asked me "why do you cut your paper ? What are you doing ?". Don't worry ! I just put stencils to avoid stains. With alcohol markers we often have micro-projections. Have a look at the video :
