Bookends - wrong email UX writing prompt

Posting an old exercise I did for a UX Writing challenge!

Scenario: The user entered the wrong email address to sign in to their account.

Challenge: Tell the user to enter the right email.

Solution: Sorry, we don't recognize that email. Please try again.

Outcome: Writing copy that doesn't place blame on the user is very important! Instead of placing blame through the error message, we can redirect users and give them a helpful nudge into the right course of action: making sure they entered the right email. The error message is also a way for the app to take accountability that doesn't harm a user's experience when logging back into an app.
