Earth Illustration [WIP]

We're finally wrapping up our new game, based on our GameJolt game jam entry from a few months back. The game got great reviews, community responded really well, so we decided to polish it up and launch it across all platforms known to mankind.

This is our beautiful, friendly and naive Earth, the main character in our game. With this style of illustration, we wanted to achieve a complete contrast between the vibrant planets and toned down, minimalistic UI.

Would love to get your feedback and suggestions on how we can improve the illustration even more. Please bare in mind this is a 2d game, and the Earth is designed with flexibility and 2d animation constraints in mind, so we have to make compromises here and there.
