Thermostat: Room Control
Here's a thermostat UI which indicates what's happening in a selected room. In this case, the user has set the desired temp to 74°F, the system is heating the room, as indicated by text + icon display as well as color indicator (under current temp readout) showing gradient corresponding to either heating or cooling.
