Microsoft Build branding

Creating a connected and dynamic branding system for over eight distinct events with hundreds of deliverables is no small task, however, that’s exactly the work our brand design team recently took on creating our new events branding system. In previous years our branding approach for our events was bespoke–each event was unique but also disconnected from the next. However, this year the team set out to create a unified branding system to add cohesiveness to our events identities along with lightening the workload on design teams in creating bespoke work.   

 

Unlike working on wallpapers or Teams backgrounds these visuals needed to be able to effortlessly translate from front and center visuals to illustrations that could serve as backdrops for information like name cards or presentation templates. The team also had a goal to generate more energy in the visuals and to connect them to our brand creative principles of being human, vibrant, and dimensional.
