Schakel Scherp - FIT | Interactive Video Training

Sometimes there are projects that you don't come across every day. The collaboration between NH Samen Veilig and LiveWall is one of those. NH Samen Veilig is the partnership between 32 different municipalities, the police and the Public Prosecution Service, within the North Holland unit. FIT, the Financial Intelligence Team, approached LiveWall with a clear request: "Help local police officers, BOAs and bailiffs recognize the signals of unusual possession better, faster and more effectively."

On the Schakel Scherp platform, civil servants are shown interactive FIT training videos where actors play out various scenarios with signals of unusual possession. During the video, the viewer can record these signals. From signaling to perseverance: as a viewer you can see exactly what local police officers, BOAs and bailiffs have to deal with. To make an alert of suspicious behavior, the viewer clicks into the video. The video captures the alert and saves it for later. “Because of the haste and urgency of a situation, the viewer will never be able to see every signal. And is it a signal at all? That's where the learning lies: that you see how many different types of signals there are,". The second and third parts of the training focus on 'determination' and 'perseverance'. The viewer is shown which signals have or have not been spotted correctly, and also how these signals can be reported.

It was a privilege to be involved in this project. From idea to name to design to directing the various tech teams.
