Little League World Series Logo Concept

I found an old Little League World Series program (1999) when I was cleaning out the garage. I had been searching in it for a different logo for another project and had tossed it aside. But last night, I caught it out of the corner of my eye and the old series logo sent me on a wicked nostalgia trip. Inspired, I immediately had to replicate it on the computer. After ideating and dabbling a little bit, I took a pause to dig deep into the past and unearthed all the 90s baseball vibes. After a good night's rest, I came back this morning and churned this out. I think I did a good job at capturing the spirit of the decade. I think it'd work well as a series logo and be a hit with the kids; Gen Z is always enamored with the 90s. I choose the gold and black scheme as a nod to the '95 WS (Go Braves!); but I'm really diggin the bubble gum neon version. Pair this with some nice chunky sleeved raglan style jerseys and a vintage cap; that'd be a sweet lookin' series.

One of the trickiest parts about the LLWS logo is that they just signed a partnership with T-Mobile at the start of the year that will add a small ‘presented by T-mobile’ to the logo. It’s an interesting quirk that needed to be kept in mind when designing the set. I wanted to integrated it in such a way that it wouldn't overwhelm and become the focal point, but still be included nicely as if it was always supposed to be there. I think this works well at achieving the goal. Also, Little League has 6 more tournaments that share a logo with the main tournament - so I had to keep in mind that it needed to be easily modifiable across the different logos. I always like to come to the table with complete ideas that could be used tomorrow if the company wished…
