Today
Today / Сьогодні [Sohodni] is a poem by Mykhailo Semenko, a poet of the Executed Renaissance who was one of the founders and theorists of Ukrainian futurism. He made Ukrainian poetry more modern by using urban themes in his poems and experimenting with form.
I, in turn, want to pay tribute to Mykhailo, a visionary of his time. The poem «Today» had been running through my head for several days and I decided to memorialize it in this way. I developed two versions, based on order and chaos. I don't know what I'll go with for the other poems yet. Which version do you like?
