Common Groove is a net label dedicated to releasing ‘cynical yet celebratory’ dance music. Founded by DJ and Producer Bella Cuts, the idea behind the label is to provide a platform for release, distribution and promotion of underground electronic musicians, while ensuring that each artist retains all the rights to their music.

For the in-house design style for the label, I created what I like to call a “bubblegum brutalist” aesthetic. Referencing iconic vintage record sleeve designs, and with a gaze firmly towards the horizon, I had a lot of fun experimenting to create a design template with a strong visual style, that is still adaptable enough to work with a variety of artists and releases.

I'm excited to continue working with Common Groove as they release more music and add more artists to their stable.
