I'm on the pursuit of Happinesss

Inspired by Kid Cudi's record "Pursuit of Happiness" paired with a calm colour palette and serif typeface.

For the initial sketch in Illustrator I played with the positioning of basic shapes to drive the animation. I wanted to focus on a few animation principles: secondary action and timing.

I then imported into After Effects using Overlord and began working on the timing to make the two scenes transition smoothly. For the final touches I added texture to the circle elements and made the text fall in an interesting way.
