Seed & Star: Proposed State Flag of Iowa

The state of Iowa is a treasure in the midwest. The gold field symbolizes the fine corn grown while the green is the open grass and fields that flourish in the state. Iowa also has a well known "Iowa Star" quilting pattern that has been used in the style of "Barn Quilts" that adorn farms throughout the state. The center, a seed with two leaves, one for agriculture, and one for industry. These leaves are a reminder that these two things are and will always be connected. Smell the fresh air.
