Concept App for Traditional Event -Yalda-
The Story
Yalda is an Iranian festival that celebrates the winter solstice, which occurs on the longest and darkest night of the year. It usually falls on December 20th or 21st in the Gregorian calendar.
During Yalda, families and friends gather together to stay up late, eat, drink, and read poetry or tell stories. Traditional foods are often served, such as pomegranates, watermelon, nuts, and sweets. Some people also play games or engage in other forms of entertainment throughout the night.
Yalda has been celebrated in Iran for thousands of years, and it has roots in ancient Zoroastrian traditions. The festival is also celebrated in other countries in the region, such as Afghanistan, Tajikistan, and Azerbaijan.
In Iran, it is common for family members and friends to take turns reading verses from Hafez's Divan, a collection of his poetry, and interpreting them. Hafez's poetry often has mystical and philosophical themes and is open to multiple interpretations, making it suitable for discussions and debates.
Reading poetry during Yalda is not only a form of entertainment but also a way to connect with Persian culture and history. It is also believed to bring good luck and positive energy to the home and those who participate.
Also recently many small to big brands put sales on their products for the night something similar to "Black Friday".

Design
The Ui intro has a background of a stary night since it is the longest night of the year & people stay up until late night. then it turns into a slice of watermelon!
watermelons as like as pomegranates is so popular for the night that every one who knowes about yalda will know about them too!

games like poem reading called “Fal” which people pick a random poem without looking from the book of the famous poet “Hafez” and start reading. each poem some how describes the status or future of the reader and has to be analized.
giving congrats to friends & family & sharing games.
