Chowdown Wrist
At a recent hackathon (shoutout to the @strvcom folks!) I got Chowdown working on my Moto 360. What you're looking at in the preview above is a literal capture of the working webapp, saved and GIF'd.
I made a handful of tweaks for the tiny screen, including: - moving the logo - changing the layout to go full-width -- (the photos actually look pretty good!) - adding some JS that auto-advances the view when an item is tapped complete (what you see at the end of the capture, kinda cropped in this template)
I haven't actually cook tested it yet, but it looks like it's going to be a surprisingly handy way to cook (hah!). Not quite hands-free, but paired all the down to a single pinky (or knuckle). I can get with that.
Next steps: - elegant image loading/sizing - making a native Android wrapper (hellllllo Play Store) - adding voice actions ("next step, please")
