Building India’s largest EV charging network

Statiq is an electric mobility startup that is building India’s largest electric vehicle charging network. With their vast network of distributors and hosts, the company is focused on providing accessibility, affordability, and a reliable experience for EV charging. Statiq decided to revamp their website to enhance customer interaction, and make their innovative offerings stand out in the rapidly evolving EV market. The company’s vision is to leverage technology and realise the peak of customer convenience in the EV space.

Challenges

  1. Increasing Statiq’s network of hosts and distributors through an easy to use experience.

  2. Showcasing the products with minimum real estate, but with utmost information.

  3. Making users’ from tier 2 or 3 cities understand the overall process of becoming a host via the digital medium.

  4. Offering a modern, futuristic yet simple and streamlined visual interface to depict sustainability.

Understanding Statiq’s ecosystem of hosts and distributors

The user research aimed to gather insights and a better understanding of users’ interaction with the existing website. We interviewed many hosts and distributors, connected with Statiq, to understand their motivations and goals. This helped us identify various pain points, major one being, users facing difficulty in understanding the overall process of becoming a host or a distributor via the digital medium. This was more true for users coming in from tier 2 and 3 cities. Insights like these gave us the opportunity to design a seamless, modular and easy-to-use experience for the website.

Communicating Statiq as an innovative, disruptive and a new-age brand

With dynamic design and compelling storytelling, we curated an immersive and interactive experience for users. The homepage was built to be visually engaging and easy to navigate, with a clear and consistent layout that guides the user through the company’s story, highlighting the core offerings and its commitment towards an electric tomorrow.

Simplified showcase of varied product offerings

Product pages were designed on a scroll based mechanism. Key offerings and technical details are highlighted through dynamic 3d modeling. The intuitive form-filling experience on these pages enhanced the query funnel and optimised the process lead generation.

Unlocking the potential for future partnerships

The ‘Partner with us’ page was designed with the goal of generating leads and increasing the stakeholder network of the company. To build trust, we created separate sections like, success stories, user testimonies and personalised service and support, to help customers navigate through the complex world of electric vehicles.

Fostering EV adoption

We designed a powerful approach to promote the adoption of electric vehicles in India, and create a sense of belonging amongst EV enthusiasts. For this, we designed a space where users can get all the information on latest EV updates, using blogs and articles that cover the wide umbrella. The goal was to increase the user base and nurture a shared purpose among the community members.

Design system

Onething helped Statiq in scaling to 7000+ charging stations across India. The new website lead to a 10x increase in queries, making their charging infra more accessible to the folks in India.
