Dunn

Every logo designer out there is dreaming about their huge "dream" project. It usually evolves around the idea of doing something large, on a global scale, such as famous cosmetics or fashion brand, sports team identity or an airlines company logo. But when I gave it some deeper thought, I think I'd like to add a (power) tools company/brand on that list. I've always been amazed by how those super simple wordmarks work well - mostly wordmarks, sometimes but really rarely it's involving a symbol as well - and been working well for global brands such as Hilti, Makita, Bosch, De Walt, Black & Decker, Metabo, Skil, Stanley, Stihl and similar.

So this is some practice example with a wordmark for an imaginary power tools brand named Dunn. I like the "brandability" of it - "Let's Get It Dunn" or "Dunn My Way!" - and the point behind the design is to show all that dynamics and flexibility behind tools that can cut, drill, sand, grind, etc. Love how it turned out so I might play with some further developments like packaging and such :)

Thanks for checking it out, cheers!
