The Story

I have been playing the new Hogwarts Legacy game and wanted to design something with the theme of Harry Potter world. When I was searching for ideas I stumbled upon THIS cool artwork by Martin Naumann and loved the chromatic style he uses in his works, so I decided to try & recreate it with my own twist :))

Freebie Wallpaper (Desktop + Mobile)

These are the results of my attempts and you can download all of them as wallpapers in desktop & mobile sizes for free from this Google Drive folder.

The House Colors:

Godric Gryffindor: Red

Salazar Slytherin: Green

Helga Hufflepuff: Yellow

Rowena Ravenclaw: Blue

From SVG to 3D

Instead of creating the model from scratch I thought it could be a good challenge to find an svg file of the logo and then turn it into a 3D object.

So I searched the net and found the flat Harry Potter Logo in vector format, then removed the other characters and attached the H & P together inside Adobe Illustrator. Then imported the svg into blender and after a bit of remeshing + smoothing I had a nice and clean 3d object :))

The Renders

I tried 3 different combinations for each House color: Light, Dark & Light on Dark.

And rendered them in 2 (QHD for desktop and FullHD for mobile) sizes.
