This is one of several logo options designed for a company that specialized in importing gourmet foods from the Iberian Peninsula. The company ended up opting for a wordmark instead of including a symbol but I wanted to share this option here.

Their products included things like anchovies, olives, olive oil, various sauces, canned goods, jams, cured ham and more. The client wanted a simple and timeless design that could represent the high quality and luxurious qualities of the products they sell. The olive branch slopes into the D to create the negative space allowing for a simple composition that brings about ideas of the Mediterranean while keeping the design simple and highly legible. The design is easily and economically printed in a single color on all sorts of labels, promotional goods, business cards etc.
