The Oral History of March 2020
Brief/ Develop the visual direction, narrative illustrations, and promotional assets for the Oral History of March 2020, a collection of personal stories told by more than two dozen executives and employees of the travel industry, retelling their experiences, collective pain, and resilience during the global pandemic shut down of 2020.
Role/ Creative Director & Visual Designer
I presented visual concepts to stakeholders where we aimed for moody yet hopeful visuals in response to the narrative's tone. The moody black and grainy textures contrast with pops of orange and blue, creating balance and tension. Soft edges and gradients add a dreamlike quality, hinting at a hopeful future beyond the gloom.
