Silkscreen Printing illustration on paper Vol.01 | 2019

This is a piece I created in 2019 while still a student at the Indonesia Institute of the Arts in Yogyakarta. This piece was printed on 250gsm Concorde paper using the silkscreen printing technique. These photos were also taken that year, so please accept my apologies if the resolution is inadequate.

Bekas

In English, used means secondhand. All of these items have been abandoned by their owners and have become trash. The item is hidden beneath the tree. I was drawn to it at the time because of its interesting composition.

Belajar

It means to study. Inspired by seeing a 5-year-old boy's brother receive his first pet, a duck. He learns responsibility by caring for these animals. This is the first of seven printings of this work.

Tanpa Daya

That is, you are powerless. Informing you that the environment around where I live is polluted. There are a few wild rabbits where I live, but the majority of them die from eating pesticide-contaminated grass. This is the first of seven printings of this work.

Bahan Bakar

Put another way, fuel. Inspired by several communities near their homes that still cook with wood. This is the third of six printings of this work.

Pembersihan

Cleaning in another sense. We only need to take care of and clean up the fallen leaves after being inspired by the numerous benefits provided by several trees around the house. This is the third of eight printings of this work.

Thanks for your time !
