CSC8507 Splatooth 2042 Prototype

This is a prototype for CSC8507 Team Project Prototype for MSc Computer Game Programming at Newcastle University 2021-22. In this game, the players with most score wins and the point can be gained from colour cubes. However, all the cubes are placed in a randomly generated maze formed by invisible walls. Players have to shoot the wall with special paint ball to reveal the walls and find the ways to the cubes. Besides, a player can also shoot and put other players in fainted state for 10 seconds.

I am responsable for the graphics such as texture manipulation, shader programming and camera effects. My part of works:

  • Real-time texture painting for multiple objects

  • Camera position control

  • Hide walls when they are between camera and player

  • Splash ball fading and sticking effect

  • Colouring shader for colour cubes and splash balls

  • Particle spawn to notify players when they collide to walls
