Journey Before Destination

I wanted to keep exploring these colors and that texture-rich environment. Also playing with the Botaniq addon for Blender. Super fun to create so much nature so quickly 🤩

I added fog, day/night cycle, depth of field, a bunch of scattered objects (grass, rocks of all sizes, trees…). Render time went over the top, but I think it was worth it!

Also… SOUND ON! It feels so nice to put together a lot of different SFX and see how the animation really comes to life. 

The main driver and inspiration for this piece is the large abandoned billboard. I decided to use one of the big quotes from The Stormlight Archive by Brandon Sanderson. I’m really digging into it right now!
