GODOG: Dog Walking App

About

It’s a simple and easy-to-use app that will find you a dog walker, track your dog's walks and provide you with useful information about the duration, distance, and route of the walk.

User Research

One of the first steps was understanding the user and their necessities. Multiple interviews were conducted to gather some data regarding factual info about those needs and to better understand their ways. User personas were also built to try to reach goals, ambitions, and possible frustrations more precisely.

Competitive Analysis

An analysis of a dog-walking app was made by examining the features of existing dog-walking apps and their competitive landscape. One of the main aspects was looking at the app's user experience and UI patterns, pricing structures, the type of services they offer, and their overall market share.

User Flows and Wireframes

I have started the User Flows based on the information gathered from the previous research. The main objective was to be more direct and simple in the Onboarding process than the competitors. I have also started to think about specific flows and core product decisions that needed to be made. In the wireframing process, all the things referenced above were refined.

The Colours

I wanted a more funny and bright approach than the competitors, so the colors try to reflect that without losing any simplicity. Blue is the main color, with secondaries of Red and Yellow. There are also Light variations of these three colors.

The System

With all the colors and typefaces defined, I started to think about the whole app based on the previous wireframes. Creating a design system to bring consistency from the beginning was a must. A small library based on the visual necessities of the app was made. Buttons, Cards, and Styles.

Thank You
