Chronic diseases can be both physically and financially draining. Patients often face financial difficulties while accessing medical treatments, medicines, and rehabilitation services.

To address this issue, the 'Ava' concept was designed. Ava (ava means life) is a mobile app that helps patients with chronic diseases to find and access financial aid from various sources, including government and private grants, insurance benefits, and friends & family donations. The app was designed with the aim of making the process of finding financial aid resources easier, faster and more accessible for patients.

Home Screen & Wallet

The home screen is designed to provide a quick overview of the patient's financial aid status. It displays the account balance, which is updated in real-time, and a history of the patient's financial aid applications. This allows patients to keep track of their funding and easily monitor the progress of their applications.

The wallet screen provides a more detailed view of the patient's account balance, including the ability to withdraw funds. Patients can also create a donation link through AvaLove, a feature that allows users to receive funding from friends and family.

Search & Financial Aid Application

Ava's search functionality is designed to be intuitive and user-friendly. It is tailored to the user's location and chronic condition, ensuring that the results displayed are relevant and specific to the patient's needs.

Ample information is also provided to patients before they apply for funding. This information includes eligibility requirements, application process, and other relevant details. The aim is to make the funding application process as smooth and stress-free as possible for patients, who already have enough to worry about managing their chronic condition.

Tools & Resources

Ava offers a number of tools and resources to help patients manage their chronic condition and financial aid. These include a symptoms tracker, medication reminders, and a comprehensive financial aid database.

The symptoms tracker is one of such tools. It allows patients to log and track their symptoms over time, providing valuable insights into their condition. Patients can log the symptom description, date and time the symptom was experienced, duration of the symptom, and the severity/intensity of the symptom.
