Christmas story candle design & 3D animation

If a perfect Christmas gift exists, it is probably a candle. Guam based small business Medusa came up with a hand poured natural wax candle that fills the room with Christmas spirit. Orange, cinnamon and cranberry were three main ingredients in the fragrance blend the brand created for the holidays.

Our aim was to create a label and two promotional 3D animations for the reels on instagram. First, we created an illustration reflecting a person passing a story (fire) to another. 

Then we watched about 100 perfume video references. We wanted our animation to reflect the designer fragrance of the candle. The colors, shapes, and light had to “smell” just like the end product. (Spoiler: we succeeded, and customers loved it!)

Brand’s customers appreciated how much work went into the candle design and promotion and they were coming to the store just to smell “The Candle”.

As a result all Christmas Story candles were sold out several days before Christmas. Our team and the client succeeded!
