Introduction: In 2020, we designed and developed "Bong Radio," a comprehensive web and mobile application focused on music streaming. Bong Radio was envisioned as a full-featured platform, similar to Spotify, offering users an immersive experience with advanced functionality like creating playlists, playing and shuffling music, reading lyrics, and adding songs to their favorites. With a clean interface and intuitive interactions, the app was built to serve music lovers and create a personalized space for discovering and enjoying music.

Problem: At the time, Phanoos Record Company, a key player in the local music scene, relied on Telegram as its primary hub for distributing podcasts, playlists, and music productions. However, Telegram, while a powerful messaging platform, lacked the specific functionality required for a fully immersive and organized music experience. It was limited in offering curated music experiences, user interactivity, and proper playlist management. Moreover, Phanoos Record Company’s broader vision of becoming a dominant player in the local music industry required a more robust, dedicated music platform that would offer more professional and seamless user experiences.

Solution: To address this, Bong Radio was designed and implemented as an all-in-one solution. It provided Phanoos Record Company with a professional platform to host and manage its music and podcasts while also empowering users with a rich music experience that went beyond what Telegram could offer. With Bong Radio, users could interact more meaningfully through features like playlist creation, lyric reading, and music discovery. Additionally, the platform positioned Phanoos Record Company as a competitive player in the local music market, providing a more professional and user-friendly service that aligned with their growth and branding vision.

The onboarding section of our music app offers a smooth and engaging introduction to its features, ensuring users can easily navigate and make the most of the app. We've highlighted the key benefits, such as personalized playlists, seamless music discovery, and an intuitive interface, to help users get started quickly. To enhance the experience, we incorporated fantastic visual elements and custom-designed icons, creating a visually appealing and user-friendly onboarding process that sets the tone for the app’s rich functionality.

Initial setup

During the initial setup of Bong Radio, we encourage users to activate notifications to stay updated on new features, exclusive events, and the latest music releases. While not mandatory, enabling notifications ensures users don't miss out on important updates and personalized recommendations. We also invite users to register for an enhanced experience and share the app with their contacts, unlocking the full range of Bong Radio’s features, including personalized playlists, favorites, and early access to special content.
