Design for Caribbean e-Learning App

Before we put pen to paper on this one, we took some time to do some market research and user interviews to understand what the landscape was and what people actually needed. This meant reviewing.

We reviewed 100+ studies, articles, and data sets to create a master report that included:

- Research on Caribbean education

- Student exam performance over the last 20 years

- Research on the effectiveness of online learning

- Competitive research (local and global)

- Customer segments and value prop design

- Business model design

- Pricing strategy

To guide the design of the product we had 3 key questions

1) How could we provide students with access to quality education, despite a shortage of qualified teachers?

2) How can we make it as easy as possible for students to prepare for their exams effectively?

3) How could we make everyone feel like they had a personal tutor in their pocket?

We ultimately realized that the only way to solve this problem was to build an online learning platform tailored to this unique audience. So that’s what we set out to do. More to come.
