What to do with it?
At the time of this post, there is an open discussion around AI generated pieces of art. Wether it be full blown digital painting, website layout and design or even ten pages paper on given topic, AI's ability to complete those tasks is wondrous. Some AIs are of course specialized in one type of processes more than the others, wether it be ability to produce aesthetically inviting product, textual based solution or voice generation, We have to admit that it's in a hand fascinating. Credits have to be given further to teams of developers spending time and further improving these programs.
Observing the Success of AI generated material can be looked at in two ways. One of course being successful with positive connotations. The ability to produce a custom art piece, user with an idea can punch-in their requirements and tweak them until they are satisfied with given results. Choose which one suits your needs the most and you "use" it. On the other side, One can see the problem in engaging this way with an AI . Obtaining digital work this way, skips the process of it being made by skillful individual, that is observably main reason to my mind for looking at this AI intermission not so favorably. I must say so, both options have valid stance of defending themselves. Nevertheless, one of the truths is that no matter how good AI gets at generating breathtaking visual pieces, after seeing a number of those arts, spectator himself at some point can recognize it's origin as AI generated. Regardless of which stance We take, We got to admit that AI generation has it's place, usefulness and utility as long as it's not overused and (in this case) modern arts ecosystem is not oversaturated with AI pieces. On contrary that just may bring a certain level of aversion towards AI.
This topic started floating fairly recent, that made me to think about and remember some older Systems that had similar role. One of those systems is Adobe's very own Adobe Express (taken as an example in the post). Back in 2015-2016 Adobe express was released on both mobile and PC platform. The simplicity of use is unrivalled but also outcome of your input is kind of simplistic, impressive nevertheless. Bearing in mind the year it was released, Adobe Express showed it's potential. From where I'm standing Express' main use is along the lines of Referential tool, meaning that it can be used mainly for getting out of creative blockade, being used in early stages of designing process or simply to stir our imagination. Example of Adobe Express can also be implemented to current more advanced AI systems and if I may say so the only optimal way of their implementation. Please tell me your outlook towards application of AI in designing process, I'm really interested.
