Winden Estate Wine

Set against the majestic Table Mountain, Winden wines have been embraced by wine enthusiasts since it opened in 1987 for its award-winning wines from Cape Town that reflect precision and passion in the science and art of winemaking.

They requested a logo, wine bottle label, and wine tasting menu.

For Winden Estate's brand, I wanted to think outside the box on what is typically attached to a wine brand by going in a more minimalist direction. I was inspired by Joy Division's Unknown Pleasures and wine design by Nadie Parshina. First, I focused on a landmark for Cape Town, Table Mountain, and then I featured an illustration of the landmark on the label; I was going for a sophisticated design that would help it stand out from the crowd, following some of the popular graphic design trends.
