Padang Bulan
Padang bulan means full moon in English. There is a festival called Tandhak Setren during the night. It was a mystical ritual in the past but now it is a form of communal gathering, praying to Allah to be grateful for all of the fortune. We then listen to the elderly giving advice and eat together.
There is a remarkable event founded by Emha Ainun Najib (Cak Nun) named 'Padang Mbulan' with javanese spelling, starting from Jombang. It is an interactive talk which is widely spread all over Indonesia (also the world, by the internet).
