Portfolio Design
Inspiration
The inspiration for the design came from Zoro's famous 3 swords style, known as Santōryū. I wanted to incorporate that into the design, so I came up with the idea of using three slashes to slice through the name "shady," as well as the black and brown backgrounds.
Process
The process for creating the animation involved sketching out the elements I wanted to use, including the sword, and drawing out the frames for the animation. I then exported everything to After Effects, where I brought the design to life with motion and sound effects.
Challenge
It would be finding the right balance between static and dynamic elements. It was important to me that the animation didn't overwhelm the design, so I spent some time experimenting and tweaking things until I was a little happy with the final result.
