MANAGING TIME - SMALL TASKS AND DAILY GOALS
Did you ever think "I wish i had more time to do everything in a day" ? Well, sorry to tell you this buddy, but if you don't have the time to accomplish everything you need to accomplish in one day you are the only one to blame.
YOU ARE THE ONE RESPONSIBLE FOR MANAGING YOUR TIME.
So if you don't have the time, it is because you are not managing your time correctly.
I'm not going to give you a magic recipe to achieve the best during your day, because this varies a lot from people to people, from project to project so that would be impossible. But i can tell you what helps me get most of my day.
And… one thing that helped me greatly to achieve better time management was to divide my work in small tasks and daily goals. So lets say i have three projects going. I put one (with tight deadline) to Monday, one to Tuesday and the last one to Wednesday. This way I will be able to work on everything at my pace, focus on one project at a time and never be overwhelmed. Because on 5pm i just end the work day. I used to work many years on advertising companies and it was always a nightmare: working late, doing a lot of stuff at same time, running like crazy to meet some (almost) impossible deadlines. Constantly overwhelmed and tired. So one thing that i promised to myself was: “i will never be overwhelmed with work again. Ever.”
So, i'm not the best with advices, but my advice to you is “Try to divide your work into small tasks and daily goals”. Not sure it will help everyone, but works for me.
