Friends of Congress Sq. Park

A small idea I had that didn't really go anywhere. This was for a community project that is protecting public spaces in Portland. I found it really interesting that rotating a hand can make it mean different things: stop, an open hand in need, an offer to shake hands, squaring up a photograph etc etc.

This played into the activism behind the group, the fundraising and the creative uses for the square itself.
