A series of portraits to celebrate Apple’s new racially diverse skintone modifier emoji. Each portrait is made-up simply of emoji.

The images are generated using a script to examine pixel brightness in a small image, and create a text file replacing the pixels with the new skin-tone modifier emoji of varying colors based on how bright that corresponding pixel is.
