Little Lemon Table Reservation Feature

Hello everyone!

This project is about designing a Table Reservation Feature for the app of a fictional restaurant called Little Lemon. It is part of the final graded assessment of Meta's Professional Certificate Principles of UX/UI Design Course.

Little Lemon is a family-owned Mediterranean restaurant focused on traditional recipes served with a modern twist.

I hope you like it! 😊

Habilities and Technologies Explored and Applied

I used Design Thinking principles in developing this project to keep the user at the center of the design process, covering its five critical steps: Empathize, Define, Ideate, Prototype, and Test.

Each step has significant expected outputs, and I used different UX/UI artifacts to help meet the goals:

  • Relating to the problem I was attempting to solve by creating a memorable persona that aided me in focusing on the end users while designing the product from the beginning.

  • Problem Statement definition based upon the analyzed and synthesized observations from the empathize step.

  • Wireframes development in Figma to start getting creative in the ideation of the design solution.

  • Journey Mapping to uncover problems that users may encounter in the usability of the design I proposed. When executed correctly, it reveals moments of frustration and delight in the user, opening opportunities to address customer pain points, reduce fragmentation and improve the user experience.

  • Style Guide definition to create a pleasing visual experience for the intended target audience. Effects, Icons and Pictures selection to create adequate interaction that is fitting for the client and its customers.

  • High Fidelity Prototype development in Figma with the ideas that have been prioritized.
