Botanical · Cyanotype
I learned cyanotype with this technic. The process is very similar to the previous one, but in this case, we don't need photoshop or special paper printing. We can use plants, flowers, and leaves to print unique compositions.
When working with flowers and leaves, you can be more creative, and free to test different combinations and the result is always surprising, as those organic components have different properties and the light interacts differently with each one.
The rest of the process is the same as my last post. Let the UV light do the work and burn the image on the paper. Where the UV light can reach, it will turn blue after wash.
Final result
This image shows how different exposure times, chemicals concentrations and the subject to be printed can result in many different results
And again, I have to thank the incredible teachers I had from Cianó workshop. If you are from brazil I strongly recommend following and, if possible, doing the workshop.
Thanks for reading 💙
