SEED (SEMENTE) - Oxfam Brasil 2021
In this illustration, I wanted to portray something so ignored and even normalized and romanticized by many people, which is child labor. My mother became an orphan at the age of eleven and from that moment on she had to work and raise herself on her own.
We can see, in the streets and roads of Rio, children selling sweets, juggling, working as a flannel to get money home. Child labor is growing and the State fails to combat it.
