Optimal usability with product design for NanoOne

Remarkable products deserve remarkable product design with optimal usability. This also applies to NanoOne: As the fastest high-definition 3D printing system on the market, it allows for mass production of micro-components in a complex 3D printing process.

PESCHKE’s goal was to develop a design for this product that conveys the high quality, as well as the unique positioning, innovative strength and high investment volume of this absolute high-end technology. Operational ergonomics also represented an important aspect of the design process. We ensured optimal usability and user experience through intuitive and user-friendly handling.

Managing a product design project for a start-up like UpNano meant working with a small, highly specialized team that had little experience in mass production and no experience in product design. This in itself was not a limitation, but it increased the consulting portion of our work – especially in the area of manufacturing technology and low-volume serial production options. Here, we used the PESCHKE network to find suitable producers and partners in the field of development.

The design we developed extends to UpNano accessories, such as the product NanoOne Bio. The specialty of this device: The speed advantage of the process in combination with biocompatible materials enables printing with living cells, known as bioprinting, as well as the sterile production of support structures for tissue regeneration. Our design visualized the technical performance of this particular product too.
