SENSORIUM design sketch
Recently, I had the chance to do an artist-takeover of the SF Ballet for just one night. We focused on the whole experience — from the website to the lobby to how the ballets were presented, to a guided, emotional on-stage experience, to mid-performance Tweets and after-party in the basement. Here is a sketch of what went into the lobby: a 7ft tall scrim with an endless loop of a dancer executing a perfect turn is set dancing on a table, while the lights of the room are dimmed and shafts of purple beam up past the Grecian columns.
