Asgharali perfumery visual identity
Asgharali has been operating as one of the largest, most influential and beloved perfumeries across the Middle East since 1924. To keep up with times and innovate, founders have decided to rebrand the company, starting with their historic logo.
The client was looking for someone to design a logo that encompasses rich heritage, culture and personality while adopting modern design. He was also looking for a logo that gives out a premium brand image; a logo that draws inspiration from other luxury brands’ logos like Christian Dior, Givenchy, Gucci, YSL, etc.
Thus, the client wanted to achieve a number of goals: - to preserve the unique character of the logo and the floral sign of the rose in typography. - to enter the global market and bring a Western vision to the logo. - to develop a logo that would convey the luxury premium character of the brand.
Finally, we decided to combine the feeling of traditional oriental culture with modern trends in the brand identity. We kept the rose as the symbol of the brand, but combined it with a modern serif typeface.
The result is an identity that strives for European style, but retains the historical context of the perfumery brand.
