The Hendrix Experiments • Exp/2: 'HENDRIX IS GOD'
The second in The Hendrix Experiments: a short series of visual explorations paying homage my all-time favourite guitarist.
Sadly Hendrix died at just 27 years old, making him part of the 27 Club alongside: Janis Joplin, Jim Morrison, Brian Jones, Amy Winehouse, and Kurt Kobain. These were all iconic artists who all tragically passed away at the same age.
Just experimenting with type and colour across a sequence of editorial layouts. Hendrix is still so iconic, he makes any design look better.
Tried aligning the top of the 'GOD' title to the image, but one of those instances where it's technically more symmetrical and uniform, but didn't have quite the same character and balance.
