How we helped the founders of Al.ta Cucina design their new web platform. 

Al.ta Cucina is a community of more than five million food lovers, founded by Alessandro Tartaglia and Simone Mascagni. Besides being present on the main social media platforms, Al.ta Cucina also has an app through which community members can discover new recipes and share their own.

Having noticed the increasing incidence of traffic coming from search engines, the founders of Al.ta Cucina asked us to support their technical team in the creation of the new web platform, with the aim of offering their web users the same experience as those who participate in the community via the mobile app.

Agile Approach

We worked on the design of the new Al.ta Cucina web platform with an Agile approach, dividing the activities into sprints lasting two weeks each. At the end of each sprint, we presented the work done to the Al.ta Cucina tech team, gathered their feedback and defined with them the goals for the next sprint.

Our designers initially designed the wireframes of the most complex areas of the platform and then designed the new User Interface in its entirety, gradually handing over the layouts to the Al.ta Cucina programmers for development.

Design System

We have also created the new Al.ta Cucina Design System, to guarantee their team the possibility of subsequently evolving the web platform while maintaining a distinctive visual language and a UX consistent with that of the other touchpoints offered by the brand.
