Mia Mormino - 'Rapunzel' Illustration
Collaboration with Singer-songwriter Mia Mormino who explores the seven deadly sins through an aptly title collection, The Seven Deadly Sin-gles. Each one of the 7 singles represents a specific deadly sin and I took on the role of creating an illustration to promote each single capturing & combing the mood of the music and the of concept the sin it represents.
Aiming for a more enchanting tone, I turned the Envy representing illustration into a fairytale matching the music video’s mesmerizing tone. Mia is displayed stuck in a trance starring into a mirror focusing on her non existent flaws as the world moves around her. Incorporating a heavy green color palette representing jealousy as a nod to the song’s Envy meaning.
