AI ART or...
Lately im seeing a lot of AI or "Artificial Intelligence" generated art. A lot. Everywhere. And the more I think about it, the more I think this will never be "Art". Its not fair to call this art. Even if some people think it is, it's not, but even if we think that way. Its probably the LAZIEST way of making art ever. I tried it myself and I was disappointed, maybe I was doing something wrong? But then I realized I was not the one making any art all. But the computer was creating it for me. Or trying.
I think in order to make art you need:
1 - A thought process
2 - A actual, creative process
3 - Craftsmanship
I dont see this in any of these images you see popping up everywhere lately. And to be honest they all look the SAME. But honestly I have to tell you I saw some really impressive stuff and I found somewhat fun to play with it. But as for the "art" I was never able to get the results I was looking for. I mean, typing in the text box.
I believe is more appropriate that we call this as "technology" instead of art. And I know in the future this is going to help us artists create and work a lot better. Also, I doubt this will ever replace artists, copywriters or designers.
