The web3 space can be daunting to the uninitiated. SafePal’s mission is to empower everyone to own their crypto future. The Unfold crew had the pleasure of partnering with the SafePal team to give them a new identity, brand, web experience and product. The flagship of their new identity is the new SafePal logo.

With the new SafePal mark, our goal was to create a sense of safety, security while also looking towards the future. The square-shaped, negative space at the center of the mark is reminiscent of safes and vaults while the angular arms jutting out create energy and movement. All these elements combine to form an abstracted ’S’ letterform.

When it came to typography, we retained the use of Alibaba Sans which SafePal had been using prior to our engagement. Designed with a wide range of use cases in mind, from tiny product screens to bold, eye-catching headlines spanning across large banners, along with supporting over 172 languages, it made it the perfect type to communicate the brand values of SafePal, a company with global reach and aspirations.

With a wide array of products both physical and digital with aspirations of expanding, SafePal needed an effective way to brand and name these various offerings that was both unified and scalable.

Another need that the SafePal team approached Unfold with was a rebranding of their flagship product, the S1 Hardware Wallet.
