An independent healthcare software provider had an idea to build a platform to connect patients, pharmacies & medical workers.
The team was evaluating multiple healthcare organizations' needs and noticed that the medication prescribing process was outdated and time-consuming for medical workers. It involves unnecessary work such as constant calling pharmacies or filling up lots of paperwork.
Feature 01 - Patient Dashboard
The patient dashboard was designed to track all the doctor appointments, and treatment history and stay up to date on the medication & prescriptions.
All the prescribed medication orders were in one place, making it easy to see the progress of each prescription. Also, we added a refill option to easily continue the medication if prescribed so.
Feature 02 - EMR/EHR integration
The system was designed to easily integrate with electronic medical records (EMR / EHR). It provides many additional features, for example, access to the medical history & treatment plans.
This integration allows medical workers to make an informed decision fast and eliminate risks of adverse reactions to the drugs due to the allergy history.
03 - Remote ordering
Each new medication order is easy to create. The healthcare provider has to fill out all the necessary fields and state the medication and dosage. All the information about the patient is pulled out from the EHR records.
To finish up the order, the prescriber can select a preferred pharmacy based on the address the patient provided.
