Climate Action Superheroes!

Empowering children to be heroic leaders for change and believe in the impact they can have on the planet is crucial. Our league of superheroes is taking action now and they want YOU to join them! Each of their missions has downloadable content including activities for kids to do with the help of an adult.

The United Nations began actively seeking new approaches to promote their Sustainable Development Goals over the last few years. Due to many different current events the initiatives have lost momentum. The objective of this project was to create something fresh and immersive that would engage a broader audience on climate action without a doom and gloom approach to the issues.

Rather than create an entirely new campaign it became clear that the most advantageous use of resources would be connecting this new audience to the tasks that have proven to be successful. The goal then became, creating an immersive experience that would engage and inspire children to participate, influences others, and get excited about climate action. Children are an excellent catalyst for global action.

The Climate Action Superhero page is an animated, continuous scroll experience. The heroes do not have weapons and are gender neutral and racially ambiguous. All children can find a character or action to identify with and remember they can make an impact being exactly who they are with the right tools. Each hero ties to the SDG goals and explains just why these action are so crucial.
