Girl with Intense Look

This would have been my first vector portrait, way back around 2013. But I didn't understand Adobe Illustrator or vector artwork good enough back then. I was working in CorelDRAW. In fact, I didn't even know how to use Adobe Illustrator at all - didn't know what the user interface looked like, didn't own it, had never seen it. I just knew it existed as a Graphic Design software. I wasn't that interested in it around that time because CorelDRAW is much easier to use and more user friendly.

Due to my poor understanding of Vector Illustration techniques as well as rendering methods way back then, I stopped working on the above vector portrait until seven years later when I understood both Adobe Illustrator and vector artwork better. I eventually had to learn to use Illustrator because, well, it is the industry standard. It is difficult to work around it since that's what clients work with and expect. Now, Ai and I are the best of friends. The above vector portrait is technically my second complete vector portrait. I resumed work on it sometime in 2020 and finished it around then.
