The Bamboo Forest of China

Here's a 'peak' at another landscape for Stanley - this time the bamboo forests of China.

Although bamboos look like trees, they’re part of the grass family. Bamboos can grow incredibly fast—as much as 36 inches in 24 hours. Bamboo may grow quickly and need few nutrients, but China’s bamboo forests continue to be threatened by overharvesting and tourism.
