ZiplinePark - camera management solution

This Berlin Bytes' project had two main objectives. Firstly, to create a camera and footage management solution for the client's administration that would make assigning and un-assigning new users, and uploading video material correctly, as simple as possible. Secondly, to make registering and using your GoPro on-site as seamless as possible for the user. The biggest challenge? Devising a digital solution that would serve both the client and its customers.

Kicking off the project, we received specifications and connected straight into the client's backend, making devising the mobile app and connecting it to this backend, as well as the client's admin dashboard, simpler.

Our deliverable? A double-sided digital solution that simplifies camera registration and enhances customers' park experience by bringing Internet of Things capabilities to the park's fleet of GoPros. The action park's customers simply register their camera session with a quick, foolproof NFC-prompted command by bringing their mobiles into the proximity of their assigned GoPro. Once the blood-pumping, heart-racing outdoor action begins, their cameras automatically start and stop recording based on location checkpoints. Here, a live feed sent straight to customers' mobiles gives them an idea of exactly what their cameras are capturing. Once customers return their GoPros, the devices reconnect to our client's network where video material is automatically uploaded and correctly distributed to the associated customer's registration details.

The result? A seamless camera management solution that adds to the client's customers' experience of their park with a powerful camera management solution that connects live video recording sessions straight to their phones in real time. The innovation saves time for the park's visitors registering and using GoPros to capture their action and totally automates the entire process for the client, too!
