Chick-fil-a

I’m from Alabama, so I’ve had access to Chick-fil-a since Day 1. And ooo buddy did I take advantage of it. I distinctly remember riding in the back seat of my family’s Nissan Quest and inspecting the logo on a Chick-fil-a cup and thinking “how did they make this? The lines are big and fat, so they didn’t use, like, a pencil or marker or anything.” Then I drew the logo on the fogged up van window with my finger. I was like “omg it looks just like it! this is exactly how they did it!! … but how did they get it from the window to the cup? ugh I have no idea” and I gave up. For a while after that I would think to myself, “How in the world do they get it from the window to the cup?" Ten years later I got a job at Chick-fil-a and gained like 15 pounds. It was rad.
(This is Part 5 of #JLFirstLoves, a series where I draw/talk about the first logos I developed relationships with.)
